About the Lake County Library District
Our Mission and Values
Lake County Libraries enrich every person by providing comfortable community spaces to satisfy curiosity, stimulate imagination, create young readers, and explore local heritage. Our SIRCLE of values--Service, Integrity, Respect, Community, Learning, and Excellence--drives every action we take to satisfy our mission.
About the Libraries
The Lake County Library District consists of the Main Library in Lakeview, and branches in Paisley, Christmas Valley and Silver Lake. The Lake County Libraries provide free public library services to all residents living within Lake County, with services also available to non-residents for a fee.
The library system holds over 47,000 items, including over 42,000 books; 1,400 books on cassettes and compact discs; over 3,500 videos, and a small collection of music CD's. We even offer telescopes and electrical useage meters to check out!
In addition to these materials, many people use our services to download audio and ebooks, access the Internet through the Library’s high-speed connection or wireless access point, or to attend one of the Library’s many events.
Welcome to the Lake County Libraries!
