The Lake County Library District is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) individual to fill an immediate opening for a part-time, temporary Latinx Community Outreach Coordinator for the library’s Census Assistance Center activities June - October. The Coordinator will conduct outreach to Lakeview’s Latinx community to encourage completion of the 2020 Census, including assisting people in completing the Census, planning Spanish or bilingual events to encourage completion by Latinx community members, and/or other tactics to encourage completion based on community needs and input. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED and bilingual English/Spanish skills are required. Latinx community outreach or organization experience preferred. This grant-funded position has flexible hours with a total funded hours of 120 to be used for activities June-October. Ideally, the bulk of these hours would be worked this summer, but some grant activities could occur in September and October. Pay is $12.00/hr. Questions?
