Youth Library Assistant (Part Time)

The Lake County Library District is seeking a team-oriented individual to fill an immediate opening for a part-time Youth Library Assistant. The Youth Library Assistant will help create library programs for children and teens, including preschool story times and the Summer Reading Program. In our small library, the Youth Library Assistant will also work at the front desk helping library patrons check out items, answering the phone and directing calls, and assisting with interlibrary loans.

Qualifications: A high school diploma/GED and two years of experience working or volunteering with youth is required. Bilingual English/Spanish skills a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license.

This is a 19-hr/week position with a current pay scale of $15.07-$17.93/hr. Occasional evenings and Saturdays required. Lake County Library District is a PERS employer. Application and complete job description can be found on our website at https://www.lakecountylibrary.org/employment
