"My Mother the Astronaut" in Lakeview 8/8/19, 8/1/2019

LAKEVIEW, Ore.—August 1, 2019—As a special treat for our Summer Reading Program the Lake County Library is bringing the Traveling Lantern Theatre Company to the Lakeview Main Library Meeting Room at 2 PM on Thursday, August 8th to present their play “My Mother the Astronaut”.

In the play, Aquarius' mom is an astronaut and today is "Take your child to work day". Aquarius can't wait to go to NASA and find out what it's like to be in space! They visit Mission Control where she meets scientists and engineers who show her what they do and she learns all about space travel. Her imagination blasts off and she dreams of incredible journeys through the cosmos!

This free public program is targeted at children in the Summer Reading Program and their families. We will be making Galaxy Bottles and Alien Blocks at our Paisley and Christmas Valley programs on August 6th and our Lakeview morning session at 10 am on August 8th.
