Lake County Library District

The Lake County Library District budget is set by a budget committee consisting of the five elected library board members and five community members appointed by the board. The board appoints a Budget Officer to propose a budget to the committee. The Library Director is currently the Budget Officer. 

Notice of Budget Committee Meeting:
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Lake County Library District, Lake County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, will be held at the Main Library at 26 South G St, Lakeview, OR 97630 and virtual via Zoom (link provided upon request). The meeting will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 10:30am.

The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 14, 2026, at all Lake County Library District locations during normal business hours, or on the library website anytime at www.lakecountylibrary.org
