Our Place in Space at Your Library, 6/25/2019
This summer, we're hitting the road with "Our Place in Space"—and landing at a library near you! Bring the family and explore how Earth fits in among stars, galaxies, and other planets. Through science experiments and hands-on activities, you'll discover what makes Earth "just right" for supporting life, plus a variety of ways we can help keep our planet healthy.

This one-hour outreach program of the University of Oregon’s Museum of Cultural and Natural History is targeted for a family audience with elementary age children and is presented by a museum educator. The program includes a book reading and short presentation followed by activity tables offering touchable specimens and hands-on activities, and is part of Lake County Library District’s 2019 Summer Reading Program.
“Our Place in Space” will be at the Paisley Community Center at 9:30 am and the Christmas Valley Community Center at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 9th, 2019. The program will also be held at the Main Library – Lakeview at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 11th, 2019. The July 11th, 2019, 2:00 PM Summer Reading Program will feature different programming.
