The Lake County Library District is seeking a team-oriented individual to fill an immediate opening for a Library Technician. The Library Technician works under the supervision of the Library Director. Responsibilities include all aspects of circulating library materials, providing information, and working with volunteers. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:
 

·         Checking items in and out

·         Assist the public with computers, copies and other library technology

·         Respond to inquiries

·         Process new library materials for circulation

·         Enter catalog holding records

·         Process incoming and outgoing interlibrary loans

·         Assist with planning, developing and presenting library programs for all ages

         

Qualifications: Excellent attention to detail, ability to follow directions, very good interpersonal communication, and customer service skills required. High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a criminal background check.

This is a 34 hour per week position at $17.58/hr. - $21.37/hr. depending on qualifications. This position includes employee health insurance and Oregon PERS. Part-Time Temporary Library Clerk - Lakeview Library

The Lake County Library District is seeking a team-oriented individual to fill an immediate opening as a part time, temporary Library Assistant at the Lakeview library. The part-time, temporary Lakeview Library Assistant works under the supervision of the Library Director. Responsibilities include all aspects of library material processing, data entry, interlibrary loan processing, and circulating library materials.

Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:
     *complex data entry

     *processing library materials

     *processing interlibrary loans

     *assisting with inventory duties

     * checking items in and out

     *assisting the public with computers, copies, and questions

     *answering the phone

     *responding to inquiries providing excellent customer service

     *performing basic custodial tasks such as cleaning, shoveling light    snow, salting walkways

     *following all library district policies and procedures as outlined in the policy and procedure manuals and job training

Qualifications: Excellent attention to detail, ability to follow directions, very good interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills required. Some evening and weekend work is required. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

This is an 12 hr/week position at $14.05/hr. Occasional evenings and Saturdays required. This limited duration position will end on April 30, 2026. Application and complete job description can be found on our website at https://www.lakecountylibrary.org/employment
