Library Technician, Lake County Library District – Lakeview Library

The Lake County Library District is seeking a team-oriented individual to fill an immediate opening for a Library Technician. The Library Technician works under the supervision of the Library Director. Responsibilities include all aspects of circulating library materials, providing information, and working with volunteers. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:

· Checking items in and out

· Assist the public with computers, copies and other library technology

· Respond to inquiries

· Process new library materials for circulation

· Enter catalog holding records

· Process incoming and outgoing interlibrary loans

· Assist with planning, developing and presenting library programs for all ages

Qualifications: Excellent attention to detail, ability to follow directions, very good interpersonal communication, and customer service skills required. High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a criminal background check.

This is a 34 hour per week position at $17.58/hr. - $21.37/hr. depending on qualifications. This position includes employee health insurance and Oregon PERS. Some evenings and Saturdays required.
