Lake County Library District is hosting Oregon Museum of Science and Industry’s Lego Robotics camp for 6th-8th graders in three locations this fall. The free workshops will be offered in Christmas Valley, Lakeview, and Paisley. The workshop is limited to 20 participants and registration is required. A workshop was held for 2nd-6th graders in Lakeview over the summer.
Using the most advanced LEGO 2.0 WeDo Construction kits, participants will develop a love of robotics while working cooperatively to code and build using motors, sensors, gears, pulleys, and more. Please note that under current guidelines, workshop participants must wear masks for this indoor program.

The multi-day workshop will be held in Lakeview on Wednesday, November 10, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM; and Thursday and Friday November 11 and 12, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Parents can register by calling the Main Library at 541-947-6019 or emailing amyh@lakecountylibrary.org.

The multi-day workshop will be held in Paisley on Wednesday and Thursday, November 17 and 18, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM; and Friday, November 19th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Parents can register by calling the Paisley School at 541-943-3111.

The Christmas Valley workshop dates are being scheduled in December and will be released with registration instructions in the near future. For more information about this program or the library, please contact Library Director Amy Hutchinson at 541-947-6019 or amyh@lakecountylibrary.org.
